Disney has just unveiled the official themes for the much-anticipated Disney Wine & Dine Half Marathon Weekend 2026, bringing a fresh blend of classic characters, storytelling and seasonal festivity to one of the most flavourful race weekends in the runDisney calendar. The races, each inspired by a beloved Disney property, will take place at Walt Disney World Resort between 22nd and 25th October 2026 and offer runners of all levels a chance to race through magic, earn themed medals, and celebrate alongside the EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival.
This weekend has become known not just for its miles but also for the way it pairs athletic achievement with the storytelling and joyous whimsy of Disney characters. The themes for the 5K, 10K and half marathon each bring their own narrative flavour, offering runners an extra touch of enchantment on race morning.
The Wine & Dine 5K kicks things off with a charming nod to The Aristocats. This 3.1-mile course captures the Parisian spirit and playful energy of Duchess, Thomas O’Malley and their kin, giving both new and seasoned runners a light-hearted start to their race weekend.
On the following morning, the 10K invites participants to lace up for a colourful run inspired by The Three Caballeros. The jovial trio—Donald Duck, José Carioca and Panchito—bring their fiesta spirit and vibrant energy to this 6.2-mile race, infusing the course with high-spirited flair.
The Half Marathon, the centerpiece event of the weekend, takes runners on a 13.1-mile journey steeped in the timeless whimsy of Mary Poppins. With an atmosphere that’s practically perfect in every way, this race combines Disney storytelling with the stamina challenge of a half marathon, creating a memorable way to celebrate fall and fitness.
Also returning for 2026 is the Two Course Challenge—a rewarding option for runners who take on both the 10K and the half marathon. Covering 19.3 miles across the weekend, this challenge is inspired by Grumpy and pals, adding another layer of fun (and an extra medal) for those who go the extra distance.
Registration for the weekend opens on 10th February 2026 at 10 a.m. Eastern Time, with early access beginning on 3rd February for Club runDisney Gold and Platinum members. Pricing for each race increases after 10th August 2026, so early sign-ups come with a cost benefit as well as peace of mind for securing a spot in this popular event.
