The EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival is one of the most colourful seasonal events at Walt Disney World. Imagine EPCOT turned into a botanical theme park—thousands of flowers, giant living sculptures of Disney characters, outdoor food stalls, and live concerts sprinkled across the park.
The 2026 festival runs from 4th March to 1st June 2026 and is included with regular EPCOT admission.
The whole thing is essentially a celebration of spring: gardening, seasonal food, music, and elaborate landscaping that turns EPCOT into something halfway between a botanical garden and a Disney storybook.
Festival Highlights
Topiaries and Gardens
One of the signature elements of the festival is the Disney character topiaries—giant plant sculptures shaped like characters and scenes.
Expect to see displays featuring characters like:
- Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Chip ‘n’ Dale and Pluto
- Moana with Pua and Hei Hei
- Simba and friends from The Lion King
- Tinker Bell in the United Kingdom Pavilion
These living sculptures are placed throughout EPCOT’s different areas, especially around World Showcase.
Alongside them are themed gardens and horticulture exhibits that show off planting techniques, seasonal displays, and gardening ideas. A new Pet-Friendly Garden in World Nature highlights plants that are safe around pets.
Another favourite is Butterfly Landing, where visitors walk through an enclosure filled with live butterflies fluttering around colourful flowers.
Walking through these spaces feels less like a theme park queue and more like wandering through a carefully curated botanical exhibit.
Outdoor Kitchens (Festival Food)
Food is a huge part of the festival. Instead of typical theme park snacks, EPCOT sets up Outdoor Kitchens—festival food booths inspired by seasonal ingredients.
In 2026:
- Around 20 food booths appear across EPCOT
- More than 75 dishes and drinks are available
- A new booth called “Nectar” joins the line-up
Typical dishes include:
- Blackened Fish Slider (Florida Fresh)
- Chicken and waffles or honey desserts (Honey Bee-Stro)
- Potato pancakes and cheese strudel (Germany’s Bauernmarkt)
- Street corn and seafood dishes (Beach Grub)
- seasonal desserts like funnel cakes and fruit-based treats
The booths usually operate:
- 11am–9pm Friday–Monday
- 11:30am–8:30pm Tuesday–Thursday
Think of it as “snacking around the world” with spring-inspired flavours.
Garden Rocks Concert Series
Music is another major part of the festival.
The Garden Rocks Concert Series takes place at the America Gardens Theatre with multiple performances most evenings. Artists range from classic rock bands to well-known pop performers.
Guests can also book a Garden Rocks Dining Package, which bundles a meal at an EPCOT restaurant with guaranteed seating for a concert.
The atmosphere is surprisingly lively—part flower show, part outdoor music festival.
Garden Graze Food Stroll
For those who like turning food into a quest, the festival offers the Garden Graze.
Here’s how it works:
- Pick up a Festival Passport booklet.
- Purchase specific dishes listed for the challenge.
- Each purchase earns a stamp in the passport.
- Collect five stamps.
- Redeem them for a special treat at Pineapple Promenade.
It’s basically a scavenger hunt powered by snacks.
UPDATE: April 2026
Farmers Feast has officially introduced a fresh new menu as of 6th April. The updated offering lean into richer, slightly heartier seasonal ingredients while still maintaining a fresh, garden inspired identity. These include:
- Heirloom tomatoes with fresh mozzarella, complemented by shallot vinaigrette, pesto, and balsamic pearls
- Grilled beef strip loin served with tomato risotto and basil pesto
- Peach cobbler topped with cinnamon gelato and streusel
The rotating menu concept at Farmers Feast adds a layer of variety to the festival, encouraging repeat visits and giving regular guests something new to try throughout the season.
Activities and Extras
Besides food and flowers, there are several additional festival activities:
- Spike’s Pollen-Nation Exploration – a bee-themed scavenger hunt around the park.
- Interactive gardens showing landscaping ideas.
- Festival merchandise themed around characters like Orange Bird and Spike the Bee.
- PhotoPass opportunities with special spring backgrounds.
The park also enhances some attractions—like adding seasonal displays to the Living with the Land ride.
Tips for Visiting
A few strategic tricks make the festival much more enjoyable.
Arrive early. Morning light is perfect for photos of the gardens and topiaries before crowds appear.
Pace the food. Festival booths are designed for sharing small dishes rather than large meals.
Visit multiple days if possible. There’s a lot to see and taste, and rushing through everything in one afternoon misses the point.
Look closely at the plants. Disney horticulturists use thousands of species and clever planting techniques that change as the season progresses.
Why This Festival Is Special
There’s something quietly clever about the Flower & Garden Festival.
Most theme parks focus on rides and spectacle. EPCOT temporarily becomes a living landscape exhibition. Thousands of plants, flowers, and sculpted shrubs quietly perform a botanical magic trick—turning the park into a piece of living art.
The strange beauty of it is that these giant Disney characters are technically gardening. A sculpted Mickey Mouse is basically just a very ambitious hedge.
Nature, art, and theme park storytelling all tangled together.
