Disney Cruise Line has unveiled a substantial new collection of itineraries for Fall 2027 and Spring 2028, giving guests more opportunities to sail from North America and Asia while introducing several notable changes to its growing fleet. Disney Cruise Line’s official announcement provides the full details of the newly announced sailings.

Among the biggest announcements is the return of Disney Cruise Line to New York City. The Disney Wish will return to the Big Apple in Fall 2027, marking the cruise line’s first New York season since 2023. The ship will offer a limited series of sailings from the city, including cruises to Bermuda as well as itineraries exploring New England and Atlantic Canada during the autumn season.

The announcement represents one of the most significant expansions of Disney Cruise Line’s itinerary network in recent years, with sailings departing from New York, San Diego, Galveston, San Juan, Fort Lauderdale, Port Canaveral and Vancouver, alongside continued operations from Singapore.

Disney Wish returns to New York

The return of the Disney Wish to New York City is perhaps the headline attraction of the new itinerary announcement.

Following its European season in Summer 2027, the Disney Wish will head across the Atlantic and operate seven voyages from New York beginning in September 2027. The itineraries will range from four to seven nights and will include five sailings to Bermuda.

For guests looking for something different from the traditional Caribbean cruise, the Disney Wish will also sail along the northeastern coast during the autumn months. These cruises will offer opportunities to visit destinations in New England and Atlantic Canada, with ports including Boston, Halifax, Nova Scotia, and Saint John, New Brunswick.

The New York programme will also include a five-night sailing to San Juan, Puerto Rico, with a stop in Bermuda.

Disney’s return to New York is particularly notable because the cruise line has not offered regular departures from the city since 2023. The new season therefore gives both returning Disney cruisers and first-time guests another opportunity to experience a Disney cruise without having to travel to Florida to begin their holiday.

More cruises from San Juan

Puerto Rico will also play an increasingly important role in Disney Cruise Line’s Fall 2027 and Spring 2028 schedule.

The Disney Wish and Disney Fantasy will offer additional sailings from San Juan, creating more opportunities to explore the Southern and Eastern Caribbean on five- to seven-night voyages.

The Disney Fantasy will also spend time in San Juan during the season, including seven-night Southern Caribbean itineraries and a five-night Eastern Caribbean sailing that ends in Fort Lauderdale.

The ship will return to San Juan in Spring 2028 for further seven-night Southern Caribbean voyages, with destinations including Curaçao, Bonaire, Barbados and Antigua.

For travellers looking for a Caribbean cruise that offers more than the standard Bahamas itinerary, the increased San Juan programme provides some particularly appealing options.

New Panama Canal experiences

Disney Cruise Line will also make two 14-night Panama Canal repositioning cruises during the 2027-28 season.

The Disney Magic will make the transits, travelling between the Gulf Coast and the West Coast. What makes these voyages especially interesting is the inclusion of maiden port calls in Panama.

The eastbound sailing will visit Fuerte Amador, near Panama City, while the westbound voyage will call at Colón, located on the Caribbean side of the Panama Canal.

These itineraries provide a very different experience from Disney Cruise Line’s shorter Caribbean and Mexican Riviera cruises. At 14 nights, they offer significantly more time onboard while combining the Panama Canal with destinations across Mexico, Colombia and Panama.

San Diego continues to be a major West Coast hub

Disney Cruise Line will continue its strong presence in San Diego during Fall 2027 and Spring 2028.

The Disney Magic and Disney Wonder will operate sailings from San Diego, offering three- to seven-night cruises to destinations along Baja California and the Mexican Riviera.

Depending on the itinerary, guests can visit destinations including Ensenada, Cabo San Lucas, Puerto Vallarta, Mazatlán and Catalina Island.

The Disney Wonder will continue sailing from San Diego through Fall 2027 and into Spring 2028, providing a substantial selection of shorter West Coast itineraries.

For guests based on the West Coast, this continues to provide an alternative to travelling across the country to Florida before beginning a Disney cruise.

Disney Magic returns to Galveston

The Disney Magic will once again operate from Galveston, Texas, during the 2027-28 season.

The ship will offer a combination of Western Caribbean and Bahamian itineraries, including four- and five-night cruises visiting destinations such as Cozumel and Progreso in Mexico.

Longer cruises will also visit Disney’s island destinations in The Bahamas, including Disney Castaway Cay and Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point.

The Disney Magic will also undertake its two 14-night Panama Canal repositioning cruises, linking Galveston and San Diego while introducing the new Panama calls.

More choices from Florida

Florida remains at the heart of Disney Cruise Line’s operations, and the new itinerary announcement continues to provide a wide variety of cruises from Port Canaveral and Fort Lauderdale.

The Bahamas will remain a major part of the schedule, with three-, four-, five-, six- and seven-night cruises available from several homeports.

Many of these voyages will include stops at one or both of Disney’s Bahamian destinations, Castaway Cay and Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point.

The Caribbean programme will also offer four- to eight-night cruises from Port Canaveral, Fort Lauderdale, Galveston and San Juan.

The expansion also means that Disney Cruise Line will have an increasingly diverse selection of itineraries available to guests who want to combine a Disney cruise with a wider Florida holiday.

Singapore continues to expand

The new season is not limited to North America.

The Disney Adventure will continue sailing from Singapore, offering three- and four-night cruises as Disney Cruise Line develops its presence in Asia.

Selected four-night itineraries will include a visit to Langkawi, Malaysia, while guests onboard the Disney Adventure can experience the ship’s distinctive entertainment, dining and attractions.

The continued Singapore programme is another sign of how Disney Cruise Line is expanding beyond its traditional Caribbean and North American markets.

Seasonal celebrations return

Alongside the new destinations and homeports, Disney Cruise Line will continue its popular seasonal cruise experiences.

Halloween on the High Seas cruises will return from September 2027, bringing Halloween-themed entertainment, character appearances, activities, deck parties and trick-or-treating onboard selected sailings.

Later in the year, Very Merrytime Cruises will return for the holiday season. Guests can expect festive decorations, seasonal entertainment, tree-lighting celebrations, holiday activities and appearances by Santa Claus.

These themed sailings add another dimension to the new itinerary programme, particularly for families who want their cruise itself to form part of their Halloween or Christmas holiday.

When can guests book?

Bookings for the new Fall 2027 and Spring 2028 itineraries will open in phases.

Eligible Castaway Club members and other qualifying guests will receive early booking opportunities beginning on 31st August 2026.

General booking will then open on 8th September 2026.

With a combination of a returning New York homeport, new Panama Canal calls, expanded San Juan operations and continued sailings from established Disney Cruise Line destinations, there is likely to be considerable interest when reservations open.

For guests particularly interested in the Disney Wish’s New York season or one of the limited Panama Canal voyages, booking early could be especially important given the comparatively small number of departures.

A growing Disney Cruise Line network

The Fall 2027 and Spring 2028 announcement illustrates just how much Disney Cruise Line’s network has changed as the fleet continues to grow.

Rather than concentrating primarily on Florida and the Caribbean, Disney is now offering guests a much broader selection of departure points and destinations.
