The holiday season is set to return to the Disneyland Resort on 13th November, 2026, bringing back many of the traditions guests look forward to each year alongside several new additions.

Among the changes this year are new holiday costumes for Mickey Mouse and his friends, a new location for meeting Santa Claus at Disneyland Park, and the return of three festive character dining experiences at the Disneyland Resort hotels. The holiday celebration will continue through 6th January, 2027.

Mickey and Friends Get New Holiday Looks

Guests visiting Disneyland Park during the holiday season will have a new reason to stop by Town Square on Main Street, U.S.A., where Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, and some of their friends will debut new seasonal outfits.

The new designs take inspiration from holiday travel and a winter alpine gathering, giving the characters a cosy, wintry appearance while still keeping them recognisably Disney.

The new costumes add another fresh element to the character experiences at Disneyland, which have increasingly featured new seasonal looks in recent years.

Santa Is Moving to Mickey’s Toontown

Santa Claus will also have a new home at Disneyland Park this year.

For the 2026 holiday season, Santa will meet guests inside the Mickey’s Toontown Trolley Barn, located near Roger Rabbit’s Car Toon Spin. The move comes as the former Santa meeting location at the Fantasyland Theatre is now home to Bluey’s Best Day Ever.

The new location should make Santa’s visit a particularly fitting stop for families exploring Mickey’s Toontown during the holidays.

Santa will also make appearances at the Disneyland Resort hotels and at Disney California Adventure, where he will return to Redwood Creek Challenge Trail.

Three Holiday Character Dining Experiences Return

Some of Disneyland’s most popular seasonal meals will also return, with three character dining experiences planned from 16th November, 2026, through 3rd January, 2027.

At the Disneyland Hotel, Goofy’s Kitchen Celebrates the Holidays! will bring its festive character dining experience back for the season.

Over at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa, guests can enjoy Daisy’s Holiday Pajama Party at Storytellers Cafe, as well as Mickey’s Christmas Carol Feast.

The experiences will feature characters in seasonal outfits alongside holiday-themed food and menus. Reservations are expected to be available through the Disneyland website at a later date, with Disney recommending reservations for these popular experiences.

The hotels will also offer plenty of additional seasonal food and drinks, with holiday treats appearing at locations including the Great Hall cart at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa, Broken Spell Lounge at the Disneyland Hotel, and Great Maple Modern American Eatery at Pixar Place Hotel.

A Full Season of Holiday Traditions

These new offerings join a packed holiday programme across the Disneyland Resort. Returning favourites include “A Christmas Fantasy Parade,” “Believe…In Holiday Magic” fireworks, “it’s a small world” Holiday, Haunted Mansion Holiday, “World of Color – Season of Light,” Disney Festival of Holidays and Disney ¡Viva Navidad!.

There will also be seasonal merchandise, treats, entertainment and activities throughout the resort, including the return of Chip and Dale’s Ornament Trail beginning 11th November.

With new character costumes, a new home for Santa and three returning holiday dining experiences, Disneyland’s 2026 holiday season looks set to add a few new touches to its familiar Christmas traditions.
