Construction is continuing at Disneyland Paris’ new Up-inspired attraction, Wilderness Explorers Sky Swings, with the latest visible changes including the removal of several trees and the arrival of additional themed structures. The attraction is currently under construction in Adventure Way at Disney Adventure World and is scheduled to open in 2027.

According to new photos shared by DLP Works, the most noticeable change since the previous construction update is the clearing of trees from a flowerbed beside the attraction site. The area is being prepared for the installation of a statue of Russell, one of the main characters from Pixar’s Up, which will become part of the attraction’s themed landscaping.

Elsewhere around the construction site, work continues on the attraction’s backstage and technical facilities. Decorative architectural features, including columns, archways and roof overhangs, have now been added to the building. Wooden framework remains in place around parts of the structure while freshly poured concrete cures.

The building’s large central dome also remains covered by a protective tarp while work continues. Construction crews were recently spotted working along the roofline as exterior progress advances.

Wilderness Explorers Sky Swings will become the first Disney attraction inspired by Pixar’s Up. The family ride will be a flying chair carousel, allowing guests to soar above Adventure Way while enjoying panoramic views across Disney Adventure World. The attraction will feature 48 swinging seats with a total capacity of 64 guests.

The ride forms part of the ongoing transformation of Disney Adventure World, formerly Walt Disney Studios Park. Alongside World of Frozen, Adventure Way, and the future Lion King-themed land, the new Up attraction is one of several major additions designed to expand the park over the coming years.
