Universal Orlando Reveals ‘Infernal Carnival of Nightmares’ Scare Zone for Halloween Horror Nights 35

Universal Orlando Resort has officially unveiled another piece of the Halloween Horror Nights 35 lineup with the announcement of Infernal Carnival of Nightmares, an all-new scare zone that will immerse guests in the event’s twisted anniversary theme.

The newly revealed scare zone expands on this year’s overarching “Infernal Carnival of Nightmares” storyline, placing guests in the middle of a sinister carnival where legendary Halloween Horror Nights icons Jack the Clown and Dr. Oddfellow take centre stage. As visitors make their way through the area, they’ll encounter deranged performers, grotesque carnival attractions and terrifying creatures lurking around every corner.

According to Universal, the scare zone invites guests to “step right up” into a nightmarish spectacle where the line between entertainment and horror disappears. The carnival’s once joyful atmosphere has been transformed into a chaotic realm filled with unsettling performers, eerie midway games and relentless scareactors ready to prey on unsuspecting visitors.

Infernal Carnival of Nightmares serves as the latest chapter in Halloween Horror Nights 35’s anniversary celebration, which brings Jack the Clown and Dr. Oddfellow together as the event’s co-icons for the first time. The pair will oversee this year’s fear-filled festivities as rival ringmasters united to unleash terror throughout Universal Studios Florida.

The announcement follows months of anticipation after Universal first revealed the event’s carnival-inspired theme in March. Since then, the resort has steadily unveiled original haunted houses, major intellectual property experiences and live entertainment that all tie into the 35th anniversary celebration.

Halloween Horror Nights 35 will feature ten haunted houses, multiple scare zones, live entertainment, themed food and beverages, and exclusive merchandise. The event runs on select nights from 28th August through to 1st November 2026 at Universal Studios Florida.

With Infernal Carnival of Nightmares now officially joining the lineup, guests can expect one of the event’s most visually striking street experiences, blending classic carnival imagery with the signature psychological horror and elaborate theming that Halloween Horror Nights is known for.

Additional scare zones and entertainment offerings are expected to be announced in the coming weeks as Universal completes this year’s full event lineup.
