Hong Kong Disneyland Transforms for First-Ever Pixar Summer Fest

Hong Kong Disneyland has been transformed into a colourful celebration of Pixar Animation Studios as the resort prepares for its first-ever Pixar Summer Fest. Running from 12th June to 31st August 2026, the event brings Pixar characters, themed decorations, entertainment and experiences across the park.

Guests arriving at Hong Kong Disneyland are immediately welcomed into the Pixar celebration, with the entrance areas decorated with banners featuring some of Pixar’s most beloved characters. The displays include characters from films such as The Incredibles, Toy Story, Inside Out, WALL-E, Cars, Brave, Monsters, Inc., and Up, alongside Pixar’s iconic ball design.

One of the biggest new photo opportunities can be found near the front of the park, where a giant Pixar ball and Luxo Jr. lamp have been installed as a centrepiece. The display features the lamp shining over the Pixar ball, which also acts as a screen showing changing Pixar-themed visuals throughout the day.

The Pixar-inspired makeover continues down Main Street, U.S.A., where lamp posts have been decorated with colourful red, yellow and blue banners. Character pairs appear along the street, including Mike and Sulley, Woody and Buzz, Joy and Sadness, and Lightning McQueen and Mater.

The Emporium has also received a Pixar Summer Fest transformation, with oversized toy displays featuring characters including Woody, Buzz Lightyear and the Little Green Aliens. The shop windows highlight Pixar merchandise and new summer offerings, including items inspired by Toy Story.

Beyond the decorations, Pixar Summer Fest introduces new entertainment across the resort. Guests can enjoy Pixar-themed daytime experiences, character appearances and the Pixar Pals Spectacular nighttime show, which features drones, projections and special effects before the regular nighttime spectacular Momentous.

With its mix of colourful installations, character moments and Pixar storytelling, the event turns Hong Kong Disneyland into a larger-than-life Pixar world for the summer season.
