Shanghai Disney Resort is extending its 10th birthday celebrations into the summer with the introduction of its first-ever Magic Hour Upgrade Days, giving guests extra time to enjoy the park after sunset. The special event will bring extended park hours, exclusive entertainment and a variety of seasonal experiences as part of the resort’s milestone anniversary festivities.
The Magic Hour Upgrade Days will take place on select nights from 3rd July to 1st August 2026, with Shanghai Disneyland extending its operating hours until 10:30 p.m. every Friday and Saturday during the event period. Guests will be able to continue exploring attractions, enjoying entertainment and experiencing the park’s nighttime atmosphere well into the evening.
One of the biggest highlights of the extended evenings will be the Shanghai Disney Resort 10th Birthday Bash: Summer Beats Celebration in Tomorrowland. The area will transform into a Disney-themed dance destination, featuring music, performances and appearances from Disney characters dressed in their special anniversary looks.
The celebration will include a party atmosphere at the Pepsi E-Stage, where Ralph and Vanellope from Disney Animation’s Wreck-It Ralph will help turn the space into a lively nighttime experience filled with electronic dance music, energetic performances and summer-themed fun. The resort’s 10th birthday song “Magic Together” will also feature as part of the festivities, alongside a collection of popular Shanghai Disney Resort musical moments.
Guests visiting during Magic Hour Upgrade Days will also have the chance to enjoy selected attractions after dark, including TRON Lightcycle Power Run, Rex’s Racer and Zootopia: Hot Pursuit. Some Disney characters will also appear throughout Tomorrowland and Disney·Pixar Toy Story Land, creating additional opportunities for nighttime interactions.
The extended evening celebrations are part of Shanghai Disney Resort’s wider “With You, It’s Magic+” 10th Birthday Celebration, which began earlier in 2026 and includes new entertainment, decorations, merchandise and experiences across Shanghai Disneyland, the resort hotels and Disneytown.
The summer season will also feature Toy Story 5-themed experiences throughout June, with themed decorations, character appearances, special merchandise and activities inspired by the upcoming Pixar film.
Beyond the anniversary events, guests can expect summer-exclusive food, drinks, merchandise collections and entertainment across the resort. Seasonal offerings include birthday-themed treats, limited-edition souvenirs and new character summer outfits designed especially for the celebration.
