Universal Orlando has confirmed that Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure at Islands of Adventure will no longer be included with Universal Express beginning 1st July 2026. The decision marks a significant operational change for one of the resort’s most popular attractions.
According to Universal Orlando, the change is being made “to improve the flow of the experience for all of our guests.” The attraction originally operated without Express access when it opened in 2019, before the service was added in May 2025.
Since Express access was introduced, many guests have complained about increased standby wait times and slower queue movement. Online reactions to the announcement have been mixed, with some fans praising the move while others expressed frustration over losing Express privileges on one of Universal’s headline attractions.
Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure remains one of the highest-demand rides at Universal Orlando, regularly posting some of the longest waits across the resort. With Express access ending this summer, guests may need to rely more heavily on early park entry or late-night rides to minimise wait times.
Universal has not announced any replacement system for the attraction at this time.
