Mickey and Minnie’s Debut New Outfits at Disneyland Resort, California

Disney has unveiled brand-new patriotic costumes for Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse as part of the company’s celebrations for America’s 250th anniversary in 2026. The iconic duo debuted the new looks during Los Angeles Fleet Week at Disneyland Resort, marking the beginning of Disney’s wider “Disney Celebrates America” initiative.

The updated costumes blend classic Americana styling with the familiar charm of Disney’s most recognisable characters. Mickey’s new outfit features a deep blue velvet tailcoat decorated with white stars, paired with a pale blue waistcoat, sparkling white bow tie, and bright red trousers finished with oversized white buttons. Minnie’s ensemble reimagines her traditional red polka-dot dress by replacing the dots with white stars, while shimmering accents and layered blue underskirts complete the patriotic theme.

Disney introduced the costumes during a special Fleet Week celebration at Disneyland, where more than 100 Sailors, Marines, and Coast Guardsmen visited the park ahead of Memorial Day weekend. Mickey and Minnie appeared in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle wearing the new attire as part of ceremonies honouring the 250th anniversaries of both the United States and branches of the American military.

The costumes are expected to become part of Disney’s broader summer celebrations across its parks and events throughout 2026. Disney has already incorporated patriotic imagery into several anniversary initiatives this year, including appearances at the Rose Parade and themed entertainment tied to “Disney Celebrates America.”

The new looks continue Disney’s tradition of redesigning Mickey and Minnie’s wardrobes for milestone celebrations, while also tapping into the growing wave of red, white, and blue merchandise and entertainment arriving at Disney Parks ahead of the historic anniversary.
