Walt Disney World Resort has confirmed that two of its most valuable guest perks—Early Theme Park Entry and Extended Evening Hours—will continue through 2027, offering visitors more time in the parks and greater flexibility when planning future holidays.
A major boost for resort guests
The announcement means that guests staying at Disney Resort hotels will keep enjoying 30 minutes of early access to all four theme parks every day of their stay. This benefit applies from check-in through to departure day and provides a crucial head start on popular attractions before general admission begins.
Meanwhile, those staying at Deluxe Resorts and selected partner hotels will continue to receive Extended Evening Hours on select nights. These events typically allow guests to remain in designated parks for up to two extra hours after closing, often with reduced wait times and a more relaxed atmosphere.
What guests can expect
Early entry gives access to a wide range of headline attractions across all parks. Popular rides such as Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, and Avatar Flight of Passage are often included, making the extra time especially valuable for avoiding long queues.
Extended Evening Hours, on the other hand, are typically limited to select parks on specific nights, but offer a quieter and more exclusive experience. Guests can enjoy major rides with significantly shorter waits compared to daytime crowds.
A continuation of post-pandemic perks
Both benefits were originally introduced in 2021 as part of operational changes following the pandemic, replacing the former Extra Magic Hours programme. Since then, they have become a central part of Disney’s on-site hotel offering, helping to justify the premium cost of staying within the resort.
Their extension through 2027 signals Disney’s commitment to maintaining added value for resort guests, particularly as competition in the Orlando theme park market continues to grow.
Planning ahead with confidence
The confirmation also aligns with the release of 2027 holiday bookings, giving families and travel planners greater certainty when organising future trips. With these perks guaranteed, guests can factor in extra park time when building itineraries, potentially reducing the need for paid queue-skipping options.
In practical terms, this means more opportunities to experience top attractions, better crowd management, and a smoother overall visit.
Why it matters
For many visitors, time is the most valuable currency at Walt Disney World. By extending both Early Entry and Extended Evening Hours through 2027, Disney is reinforcing a key advantage of staying on-site: access to the parks when crowds are lowest.
In an environment where demand remains high and wait times can be significant, these additional hours may make the difference between a rushed visit and a memorable, well-paced holiday.
