Blue Bayou Restaurant Reopening Date Confirmed at Disneyland

Disneyland has officially confirmed when the popular Blue Bayou Restaurant will return following its upcoming refurbishment, giving guests clarity ahead of planned closures in New Orleans Square.

Temporary closure begins in May

Blue Bayou Restaurant, located inside Disneyland Park and overlooking the Pirates of the Caribbean attraction, will close on 4th May 2026. Its final day of service before the refurbishment will be 3rd May 2026.

The closure will coincide with the shutdown of the adjacent Pirates of the Caribbean ride, as both undergo maintenance at the same time.

Reopening date set for May

The restaurant is currently scheduled to reopen on 21st May 2026.

When it returns, Blue Bayou will operate with a modified dining experience due to ongoing work on Pirates of the Caribbean nearby. Guests may notice obstructed views and occasional construction noise during their meal.

What guests should expect

Even after reopening, the experience will not immediately return to normal. The refurbishment of Pirates of the Caribbean will continue beyond the restaurant’s reopening, meaning the usual calm, immersive atmosphere of watching boats drift past diners may be limited.

Disney has not provided a timeline for when the ride itself will reopen in full.

About Blue Bayou

Blue Bayou is one of Disneyland’s most distinctive dining locations, set inside the Pirates of the Caribbean attraction itself. Known for its dimly lit “bayou” atmosphere, lanterns, and Louisiana-inspired menu, it remains one of the park’s most sought-after reservations.
