Walt Disney Studios Courtyard and Disney Jr Show Opening Date

Disney has confirmed that a newly reimagined area at Disney’s Hollywood Studios will officially open on 26th May 2026, introducing guests to the Walt Disney Studios Courtyard alongside the debut of the family-focused stage production “Disney Jr. Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Live!”. The announcement marks the next major milestone in the park’s ongoing transformation and expands the entertainment offerings aimed at younger audiences.

The Walt Disney Studios Courtyard will serve as the outdoor hub for this refreshed section of the park. Inspired by the historic Walt Disney Studios lot in Burbank, California, the redesigned space is intended to evoke the atmosphere of a working animation studio campus. Imagineers have incorporated architectural details and studio-style surroundings to create a relaxed, park-like environment where families can explore, relax, and move between attractions.

Anchoring the area’s new entertainment lineup is “Disney Jr. Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Live!”, a lively stage show inspired by the popular Disney Jr. television series. The production invites guests into Mickey’s house for what begins as a party hosted by Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse. When several of their friends fail to arrive, the characters set out on an adventure to find them, turning the experience into an interactive journey filled with music, dancing, and audience participation before the group reunites for a celebratory finale.

The approximately 20-minute show will feature appearances from familiar characters including Goofy, Daisy, and Pluto, along with original songs designed to keep younger guests engaged throughout the performance. Interactive elements encourage children to clap, dance, and help the characters along the way, making the experience more participatory than traditional theatre presentations in the park.

This new production replaces previous Disney Junior-themed shows that had long occupied the Animation Courtyard theatre space. Over the years the venue has hosted several iterations of Disney programming, evolving from “Playhouse Disney – Live on Stage!” to later offerings such as “Disney Junior Dance Party!”. The new show continues the tradition of bringing Disney Jr. characters to life for young visitors while aligning with the modern “Mickey Mouse Clubhouse+” franchise.

The surrounding courtyard area will also connect with other nearby experiences, including the stage production “The Little Mermaid – A Musical Adventure,” helping establish the district as a family-friendly entertainment zone within the park. Together, these offerings aim to create a cohesive area celebrating Disney animation and storytelling.

With the opening set for 26th May 2026, the Walt Disney Studios Courtyard and “Disney Jr. Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Live!” will introduce a fresh entertainment hub for younger guests at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, blending interactive storytelling, familiar characters, and an environment inspired by the real-world studio where Disney animation began.
