Magic Kingdom Entertainment Schedule Shifts for March
As spring break season approaches and the days grow longer, Walt Disney World Resort is adjusting its parade and cavalcade times at Magic Kingdom park to better match daylight hours and guest flow. These changes affect three of the park’s core processions: the new Disney Starlight nighttime parade, the classic Festival of Fantasy daytime parade, and the character-rich Disney Adventure Friends Cavalcade. Updated times begin in early and mid-March and are currently scheduled through early April.
Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away Moves Later
Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away, the park’s first regular full-scale nighttime parade in nearly a decade, has been running in late evening slots during February. From Sunday 8th March the parade will start approximately half an hour later than its current 7.45 p.m. time, moving to 8.15 p.m. most nights. For the peak spring break period of Thursday 12th to Saturday 14th March, a second later showing at around 10.30 p.m. has also been added, giving visitors another chance to see the parade under the stars.
The Starlight route begins at Town Square on Main Street, U.S.A., travels up past Cinderella Castle and through Liberty Square, and finishes in Frontierland. On nights with two performances, the later parade inverses direction, starting in Frontierland and progressing toward Town Square.
Festival of Fantasy Returns to Two Showtimes
The beloved Festival of Fantasy parade, a colourful procession filled with floats and favourite Disney characters, will expand its daily performance schedule from single to double showings. Beginning Sunday 15th March this parade will be offered at midday (around 12.00 p.m.) as well as its traditional mid-afternoon slot (around 3.00 p.m.). That gives families more flexibility, especially on busy park days. In the event of inclement weather the smaller Rainy Day Cavalcade may be offered in place of the full parade along the same Frontierland-to-Town Square route.
Disney Adventure Friends Cavalcade Moves to Evening
Also starting Sunday 15th March, the Disney Adventure Friends Cavalcade will shift from its current morning times to early evening performances, stepping off at approximately 5.10 p.m. and 6.25 p.m. Previously the cavalcade occurred at around 10.30 a.m. and 11.45 a.m. in the morning. The cavalcade features a procession of beloved Disney characters and follows the same route from Frontierland through Liberty Square and down Main Street, U.S.A. to Town Square.
Planning Ahead
These adjustments reflect Walt Disney World Resort’s strategy of aligning entertainment with seasonal daylight and guest attendance patterns that accompany spring break crowds. At present the updated showtimes are confirmed through at least Saturday 4th April, and guests with visits during this transition period are encouraged to check the official schedule in the My Disney Experience app for the most accurate showtimes on their dates of travel.
