Disneyland Paris Enters a New Era of Evening Magic with Longer Park Days

Disneyland Paris is making a noticeable shift in how it structures its daily operations. For years, the second gate at the resort – soon to formally known as Walt Disney Studios Park – tended to close considerably earlier than its neighbour, leaving guests with most of their evening entertainment focused around Disneyland Park. That’s changing in a big way for 2026.

With the upcoming opening of Disney Adventure World – the reimagined and renamed version of Walt Disney Studios Park – the resort has rolled out updated operating hours that extend well into the night across both parks. Beginning in spring 2026, Disney Adventure World is scheduled to open its gates at around 9:30 a.m. and stay open until roughly 10:40 p.m. every day of the week. That closing time mirrors the evening schedule of Disneyland Park and represents a dramatic change from the earlier closures that were typical in previous seasons.

Part of this operational shift is driven by the launch of Frozen World, an immersive land anchored in the world of Frozen. With new attractions, themed dining and character experiences, Frozen World is expected to be a major draw, and longer opening hours help spread crowds more evenly throughout the day rather than concentrating peak demand in the afternoon. Disney’s strategy here resembles approaches used at other major parks globally: expanded hours help to balance visitor flow and create a fuller, more relaxed experience overall.

Evening entertainment plays a big role in the move towards later closures. The new Disney Cascades of Lights nighttime spectacular will debut over the water in Adventure Bay, blending drones, fountains, lighting effects and music into a show designed to fill the night sky and draw visitors well past traditional closing times. There’s also Disney Tales of Magic, the longstanding main park night show at Disneyland Park, meaning guests will have more choices than ever for how they spend their after-sunset hours.

One practical consequence of these longer days is that guests might find themselves planning park days differently. With both parks now offering robust night-time programmes and later closing times, families and groups may want to decide in advance which shows or areas they prioritise, particularly if they hope to experience specific evening events at either location.

This change also signals a broader ambition for Disneyland Paris to lift the profile of both its parks. By extending hours and synchronising closing times, Disney is positioning Disney Adventure World as a full-day destination in its own right, rather than a park that feels “done for the day” once the sun dips. For guests planning trips in 2026, that means more time in the parks, more entertainment options after dark, and a chance to soak in a more complete evening atmosphere throughout the resort.
