Disney has announced that the final day of operation for Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith will be on 1st March 2026. This marks th end of the attraction long-running Aerosmith era as changes are made to transform it into Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets.
The attraction has been a signature thrill ride since it’s opening in 1999 and is known for it’s high speed launch, indoor coaster track, indoor inversions and rock soundtrack.
1st March 2026, will be the last time riders will be able to ride the coaster, however work has already begun on transforming this ride as ‘concert goers’ will no longer pass through the pre-show in the recording studio.
The Muppets
The Muppets will be taking over Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster featuring Electric Mayhem band racing across Hollywood to make it to their biggest concert yet. There will be updated experiences, and will introduce some new scenes, updated visuals and a new soundtrack which will be performed by the Electric Mayhem.
Disney has confirmed that there will be a Muppet Audio-Animatronic of Scooter, with hints that more Muppet characters will be present in the ride.
The red guitar will receive a make over with a golden piano key details tied to Dr. Teeth.
The attraction is due to re-open in Summer 2026.
