On 12th April 2025, Disney Parks Blog released new details on what will be the new Lion King attraction at Disney’s Adventure World (to be renamed on 29th March 2026).

Construction has already begun for the first ever immersive world themed to Walt Disney Animation Studios “The Lion King”. The major attraction will delight guests with iconic moments and songs from the 1994 animated film.

The all new water attraction will plunge guests deep into the heart of the Pride Lands where Simba will await them for an adventure and iconic songs from Disney’s “The Lion King”, released in 1994.

The ride will start beneath the caves of Pride Rock, snaking through scenes of the Lion King with state of the art special effects, advanced Audio-Animatronics and will be on the biggest at Disneyland Paris. Disney Parks Blog says there will be “three exciting slopes, including an impressive 52-foot-high descent”.

Disney Adventure World

Disney Adventure World is being reimagined from Walt Disney Studios Park and following the opening of World of Frozen at the park, this attraction and area will be a major piece of the vision that reimagines 90% of it’s offering and doubles the size of the park currently.
