Disneyland Paris has confirmed that Crush’s Coaster will undergo its most extensive technical refurbishment since the attraction opened in 2007, with the popular Disney Adventure World roller coaster scheduled to close from 7th September 2026 until summer 2027.

The major project is designed to modernise key ride systems and help ensure the long-term reliability of one of Disneyland Paris’ most popular attractions. According to Disneyland Paris, the refurbishment will last approximately ten months and will be carried out in two major phases.

During the first phase, teams from Design & Delivery, Walt Disney Imagineering Paris, Maintenance, and the Disneyland Paris Central Workshops will focus on replacing and upgrading essential operational systems. Planned work includes the replacement of selected control systems, sensors, communication equipment, and sections of track.

Once the installation work is complete, the project will move into an extensive testing and validation period. This stage will involve comprehensive technical checks to ensure all systems are operating correctly and safely before guests are welcomed back aboard the attraction.

The refurbishment will also extend beyond the ride’s technical infrastructure. Disneyland Paris plans to use the closure period to refresh numerous show elements throughout the attraction. Scenic components inspired by Disney and Pixar’s Finding Nemo will be cleaned, repaired, and repainted to preserve the immersive underwater environment that has made the attraction a guest favourite for nearly two decades.

Although Crush’s Coaster previously underwent a lengthy closure in 2015, Disneyland Paris has described the upcoming project as the most significant refurbishment in the attraction’s history. The work reflects the resort’s ongoing investment in maintaining classic attractions while improving the overall guest experience.

When the attraction reopens in summer 2027, guests can expect a refreshed experience supported by upgraded technology and renewed show quality, helping ensure that Crush’s Coaster remains a key part of the Disney Adventure World lineup for years to come.
