Tokyo Disney Resort has officially unveiled its plans for Disney Halloween 2026, with a packed programme of returning entertainment, seasonal overlays, exclusive food, merchandise and festive decorations across both Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea.

Running from 16th September until 31st October 2026, this year’s celebration builds on the success of previous seasons, bringing back fan-favourite entertainment while expanding several offerings, including the popular Coco-inspired Lazos de la Familia celebration.

Disney Halloween Returns Across Both Parks

The resort-wide Halloween celebration begins on 16th September and continues through Halloween itself on 31st October, transforming both parks with themed decorations, exclusive entertainment and limited-time experiences.

Guests can expect Disney Villains to once again take centre stage at Tokyo Disneyland, while Tokyo DisneySea embraces a lighter autumn atmosphere with waterfront greetings, seasonal décor and the expanded Day of the Dead-inspired festivities.

Disney Villains Take Over Tokyo Disneyland

Returning for another year is The Villains’ Halloween “Into the Frenzy”, the spectacular daytime parade that has quickly become one of Tokyo Disneyland’s signature seasonal offerings.

Performed once daily along the parade route, the approximately 45-minute production features six elaborate floats led by some of Disney’s most iconic villains.

Among the characters appearing are:

• Dr. Facilier
• Maleficent
• Cruella de Vil
• Captain Hook
• Jafar
• Ursula
• Mickey Mouse and friends in exclusive Halloween costumes

The parade begins with Dr. Facilier inviting guests into the villains’ celebration before evolving into a high-energy performance featuring show stops throughout the park. During these stops, music, choreography, fire effects and smoke transform sections of the parade route into immersive villain-themed dance parties.

Halloween Decorations Throughout Tokyo Disneyland

Guests arriving at Tokyo Disneyland will immediately notice seasonal touches throughout the entrance area.

Highlights include:

• A Halloween-themed Mickey floral display.
• A pumpkin-inspired Mickey photo location.
• Creeping vines and thorn decorations throughout World Bazaar.
• Disney Villains banners surrounding Cinderella Castle.
• Pumpkins and playful ghost decorations filling Toontown.

These seasonal displays provide plenty of photo opportunities while creating a noticeably darker atmosphere than the park’s usual family-friendly aesthetic.

Haunted Mansion Holiday Nightmare Returns

One of Tokyo Disneyland’s most anticipated seasonal traditions also makes its return.

Haunted Mansion will once again receive its “Holiday Nightmare” overlay, inspired by Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas.

The seasonal version of the attraction operates from 15th September 2026 until 7th January 2027, allowing guests to enjoy the festive transformation throughout both Halloween and Christmas.

Halloween Comes to Tokyo DisneySea

While Tokyo Disneyland embraces Disney Villains, Tokyo DisneySea offers a more charming autumn celebration.

The Halloween Harbor Greeting returns to Mediterranean Harbor twice each day, featuring Mickey, Minnie, Duffy, ShellieMay and other Disney friends aboard a specially decorated vessel.

Guests are encouraged to participate in a trick-or-treat-themed dance during the 15-minute performance, creating an interactive experience unique to DisneySea.

Seasonal decorations will also appear throughout the park, including:

• New pumpkin displays at the entrance.
• Halloween murals near Palazzo Canal.
• Autumn decorations throughout the American Waterfront district.

Trick or Treat Around the Resort

One of the simplest but most enjoyable seasonal experiences returns as Cast Members carrying illuminated Halloween buckets hand out sweets to guests who say the magic words:

“Trick or treat!”

The activity takes place throughout both parks and adds an extra layer of festive interaction during the event.

Night High Halloween Fireworks

Ending many evenings with a flourish, Night High Halloween returns with a seasonal soundtrack accompanied by fireworks visible across both parks.

The limited-time nighttime spectacular combines Halloween music with colourful pyrotechnics to conclude the day’s celebrations.

New Entertainment Debuts During Halloween

Alongside returning Halloween favourites, Tokyo Disneyland will also introduce The D-Groovationz4 Live: Happy! Funky! Groovy! Tour beginning on 30th September.

The energetic stage production combines original music with fresh arrangements of classic Disney songs, performed by a cast of 16 singers and dancers alongside appearances by:

• Mickey Mouse
• Minnie Mouse
• Donald Duck
• Goofy
• Baymax
• Vanellope

The 25-minute production will be presented multiple times each day at Showbase.

Duffy & Friends Celebrate Autumn

Beginning even before Halloween officially starts, Duffy & Friends Autumn Surprise runs from 25th August through 1st November.

The seasonal celebration follows Duffy and friends as they surprise one another for Halloween, accompanied by exclusive merchandise and themed food offerings.

Halloween Food and Seasonal Treats

Halloween wouldn’t be complete without special menus, and both parks will introduce seasonal food beginning on 15th September.

Returning favourites include:

• Maple pumpkin churros.
• Halloween-themed desserts.
• Character-inspired treats based on Captain Hook and Ursula.

Restaurants throughout Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea will also feature exclusive seasonal menus, while Disney Hotels will serve autumn-inspired dining experiences featuring locally inspired ingredients.

Exclusive Halloween Merchandise

Limited-edition Halloween merchandise also launches on 15th September.

Although only preview images have been revealed so far, guests can expect a collection of seasonal apparel, accessories, collectibles and souvenirs featuring Disney Halloween artwork.

Additional product details are expected closer to the event.

Costume Days Return

One of Tokyo Disney Resort’s most unique Halloween traditions allows guests to visit in full Disney character costumes during designated periods.

For 2026, costumes will be permitted:

• 15th September to 30th September.
• 16th October to 31st October.

As always, costumes must comply with resort guidelines, and guests are expected to arrive already dressed, as changing facilities inside the parks are not provided.

Expanded Coco Celebration Returns

Following its successful debut, Lazos de la Familia returns to Tokyo DisneySea from 15th September until 2nd November.

Inspired by Pixar’s Coco and the Mexican Day of the Dead, the celebration expands further into the Lost River Delta area for 2026.

Guests will find colourful marigold decorations, festive banners, live mariachi performances and traditional dance entertainment throughout the area.

Miguel also returns for character greetings, appearing in both his standard look and later in the day as his skeleton form.

Special Coco-themed food and merchandise will once again be available, including returning favourites such as Pan de Muerto and other themed menu items at Yucatan Base Camp Grill.

Halloween Beyond the Parks

The celebration extends beyond the theme parks themselves.

Disney Hotels will introduce limited-time Halloween dining experiences, while the Disney Resort Line monorail receives exclusive seasonal day passes and souvenir medallions.

Meanwhile, Ikspiari will also embrace Halloween with themed decorations and limited-time screenings of Coco, giving guests even more seasonal experiences outside the parks.

With returning Disney Villains entertainment, seasonal attraction overlays, expanded Coco festivities, Halloween-exclusive food and merchandise, plus opportunities for guests to dress as their favourite Disney characters, Tokyo Disney Resort’s 2026 Halloween celebration is shaping up to be one of the resort’s biggest seasonal events yet.

Whether visiting Tokyo Disneyland for its spectacular villain-filled parade or heading to Tokyo DisneySea for its unique blend of Halloween and Día de los Muertos celebrations, guests will once again have plenty to experience throughout one of the most popular times of year at the resort.
