Disneyland Paris has confirmed an updated timeline for the major refurbishment of the Disney Village cinema, with construction now scheduled to begin by the end of summer 2026. The project forms part of the ongoing transformation of Disney Village and will introduce a completely reimagined Pathé cinema experience when work is completed in 2027.

The renovation will be carried out in phases, allowing the cinema to remain open throughout the construction period. This approach ensures guests can continue enjoying films while work progresses on the extensive overhaul.

Among the biggest changes planned for the venue is a redesigned exterior façade, giving the cinema a more contemporary appearance in keeping with the wider redevelopment of Disney Village. Inside, every auditorium will be refurbished, with the introduction of premium recliner seating designed to offer a more comfortable viewing experience.

The upgraded complex will also feature several new guest amenities, including:

• A Pathé Café serving a range of food and drinks.
• A Häagen-Dazs corner for ice cream and desserts.
• A Pathé Games area where guests can relax before or after their film.

The cinema refurbishment is one of several projects reshaping Disney Village. Recent additions to the shopping and dining district include a new McDonald’s location, Disney Style, Disney Glamour, Deco by Disney, the LEGO Store, and the Petite Rosalie terrace restaurant. Meanwhile, the new Italian restaurant Casa Giulia is still on track to open later this year in the former Planet Hollywood building.

Once complete in 2027, the refurbished cinema is expected to become a key part of Disney Village’s modernised entertainment offering, complementing the district’s refreshed retail, dining and leisure experiences as Disneyland Paris continues its multi-year transformation.
