Disney After Hours at Hollywood Studios Records Its First Sell Out of 2026

Disney After Hours at Disney’s Hollywood Studios has reached a significant milestone for 2026, with the first event of the season officially selling out.

The 5th August 2026 event is now at capacity, making Hollywood Studios the third Walt Disney World park to record a sold-out After Hours night this year. Magic Kingdom and EPCOT had already experienced sell-outs earlier in the 2026 season, leaving Hollywood Studios as the last of the three parks to reach the milestone.

The sell-out is particularly notable because tickets for Hollywood Studios After Hours had remained available across the season while other parks were already seeing individual dates reach capacity.

Hollywood Studios joins the sell-out list

Disney After Hours is a separately ticketed event designed to give guests an opportunity to experience selected attractions with lower wait times after regular park hours.

At Hollywood Studios, the event normally runs from 9:30 p.m. until 12:30 a.m., although guests with an After Hours ticket can enter the park from 7:00 p.m. This provides an additional two and a half hours in the park before the official After Hours period even begins.

The 5th August event was priced at $169 per person, before tax. With that date now sold out, demand for the remaining Hollywood Studios After Hours evenings could become an important factor for guests hoping to attend later this summer.

What makes After Hours so popular?

One of the biggest attractions of Disney After Hours is the opportunity to experience some of Disney’s most popular attractions with significantly reduced wait times.

At Hollywood Studios, the 2026 event includes major attractions such as Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run, Slinky Dog Dash, Toy Story Mania!, The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway and Rock ’n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets.

The event also includes complimentary snacks and select beverages, adding further value for guests who are already paying a premium for the separately ticketed experience.

For visitors who are trying to maximise their time at Hollywood Studios, the ability to arrive from 7:00 p.m. and then continue enjoying attractions during the After Hours period can make the evening feel considerably longer than the official three-hour event window suggests. Disney also notes that guests arriving before 7:00 p.m. would need regular theme park admission.

More Hollywood Studios dates remain

The sell-out of 5th August does not mean that Hollywood Studios After Hours has sold out for the entire 2026 season.

Disney has scheduled additional Hollywood Studios After Hours events on 12th, 19th and 26th August, followed by dates on 2nd and 12th September. The regular events run from 9:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m., with the 12th September event scheduled for a later 10:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. window.

Ticket prices vary depending on the date, with Disney listing Hollywood Studios After Hours tickets at between $155 and $189 plus tax. Annual Passholders and Disney Vacation Club members can save $30 per ticket.

With one Hollywood Studios date now confirmed as sold out, guests considering one of the remaining nights may want to avoid leaving their ticket purchase until the last minute.

A growing trend across Walt Disney World

The Hollywood Studios sell-out also highlights the broader demand for Disney After Hours events during 2026.

Magic Kingdom had already sold out its remaining After Hours dates earlier in the summer, while EPCOT has experienced multiple sold-out evenings during the year.

That makes the Hollywood Studios sell-out more than an isolated occurrence. All three Walt Disney World parks currently hosting Disney After Hours have now reached capacity on at least one night during the 2026 season.

For Disney, that is a strong indication that the limited-capacity late-night events continue to attract guests despite their additional cost.

For visitors, however, the lesson is fairly simple: availability cannot necessarily be assumed, particularly for popular dates.

What this means for guests

The 5th August sell-out gives a useful indication of how quickly demand can change. A date that is available several weeks ahead of time can ultimately reach capacity as the event approaches.

Anyone hoping to attend Hollywood Studios After Hours later this year still has several opportunities, but those dates are not guaranteed to remain available.

The combination of reduced attraction wait times, complimentary refreshments, early entry from 7:00 p.m. and access to some of Hollywood Studios’ most popular attractions makes After Hours an appealing option for guests who want to experience as much as possible in a single evening.

The first Hollywood Studios sell-out of 2026 therefore marks another sign that Disney’s After Hours events are proving increasingly popular across Walt Disney World. With the summer season continuing and only a handful of Hollywood Studios dates remaining, it will be interesting to see whether additional evenings follow the 5th August event and also reach capacity.
