Universal Studios Hollywood has officially revealed another original haunted house for Halloween Horror Nights 2026, with guests set to enter the eerie world of Dead, Deader, Deadest.

Exclusive to Universal Studios Hollywood, the all-new haunted house plunges visitors into the sinister Deville Family Funeral Home, where a miracle preservation drug known as Ambrotox has turned a century’s worth of corpses into a terrifying undead nightmare.

According to Universal’s official description, Ambrotox was designed to restore the appearance of the deceased without the need for traditional embalming. However, when the experimental treatment goes horribly wrong, the dead refuse to stay buried. Guests will journey through the funeral home and come face-to-face with increasingly decayed reanimated corpses as they uncover the family’s disturbing secrets.

The original concept appears to blend classic zombie horror with gruesome practical effects, offering a fresh story created specifically for Halloween Horror Nights. The funeral home setting also provides plenty of opportunities for unsettling scenes, from embalming rooms and viewing chapels to crypts overflowing with the restless dead.

Dead, Deader, Deadest joins a growing line-up of haunted houses announced for Halloween Horror Nights 2026 at Universal Studios Hollywood, including Sinners, Stranger Things 5, Hellraiser and Evil Dead Burn. The event will once again feature eight haunted houses, scare zones, live entertainment and the Terror Tram across select nights from 3rd September through 1st November 2026.

Halloween Horror Nights 2026 begins on 3rd September at Universal Studios Hollywood, with tickets currently on sale. Additional haunted houses and entertainment offerings are expected to be announced in the coming weeks as Universal continues to reveal this year’s complete line-up.
