A familiar piece of the Magic Kingdom experience is finally making its way back to the start of the day. From 10th May 2026, Mickey’s Magical Friendship Faire will once again include a morning performance, signalling a major milestone in the ongoing refurbishment of Cinderella Castle.

For months, the popular castle stage show has operated on a reduced, afternoon-only schedule. That temporary change was introduced in late January to accommodate repainting and construction work around the park’s central icon.

Morning Magic Returns

With construction now entering its final phase, Disney is restoring the show’s earlier time slot. From 10th May, guests will be able to catch a new 11:10 am performance, alongside four additional shows later in the day.

The updated daily schedule will be:

• 11:10 am
• 12:30 pm
• 1:50 pm
• 4:00 pm
• 5:15 pm

This marks a return to a five-show format, offering greater flexibility for guests planning their day around attractions, dining, and entertainment.

Why the Schedule Changed

The shift away from morning performances earlier this year was closely tied to the refurbishment of Cinderella Castle. Construction activity, including cranes and repainting work, was primarily carried out during the morning hours, making it difficult to stage shows without visual disruption.

By moving performances into the afternoon and evening, Disney ensured that guests could enjoy the show with a clearer backdrop, preserving the immersive experience the castle stage is known for.

A Sign of Progress

The return of a morning performance strongly suggests that work on Cinderella Castle is nearing completion. While Disney has not confirmed an official end date, recent changes indicate that the project could wrap up in the coming weeks.
