A fresh chapter is unfolding at Disneyland Paris as Disney Sequoia Lodge embarks on an ambitious transformation, blending its beloved woodland charm with a renewed artistic vision inspired by nature and storytelling.

Opened in 1992 and designed to evoke the rustic spirit of American national park lodges, Disney Sequoia Lodge has long been a favourite for guests seeking a cosy, nature-filled retreat. Now, as part of a wider refurbishment plan launched at the beginning of 2026, the hotel is being thoughtfully reimagined to enhance the guest experience while preserving its warm, forest-inspired atmosphere.

A Celebration of Nature Through Disney Stories

At the heart of this transformation is a complete redesign of the rooms located in the hotel’s five outdoor lodges, nestled among towering sequoia trees. These newly imagined spaces will reflect a fresh creative direction that celebrates both the beauty of the natural world and the iconic Disney characters who inhabit it.

Guests will be able to choose from three distinct thematic designs, each inspired by a story deeply rooted in nature:

• Bambi – drawing on the timeless 1942 animated classic, capturing the innocence and wonder of forest life
• Pocahontas – celebrating the 1995 film’s themes of harmony with nature and cultural connection
• Brave – inspired by Pixar’s 2012 adventure, bringing a bold, rugged spirit of the wild

Together, these themes aim to create immersive environments that feel both modern and authentically connected to the surrounding woodland setting.

A Phased Transformation

The renovation is being carried out in stages, beginning with the rooms in the exterior lodges. These upgraded accommodations are expected to welcome guests from the first quarter of 2027.

Following this initial phase, the refurbishment will gradually extend across the entire hotel, including the main building, lobby, restaurants, shops, and leisure areas. Importantly, Disney Sequoia Lodge will remain open throughout the process, allowing visitors to continue enjoying the resort even as enhancements take place.

Preserving the Spirit of Sequoia Lodge

While the updates promise a more contemporary look and feel, the essence of Disney Sequoia Lodge remains unchanged. The goal is not to reinvent the hotel, but to elevate it—retaining its signature cosy, woodland atmosphere while enriching it with storytelling details and refined design.

By weaving together nature, nostalgia, and modern comfort, the reimagined rooms are set to offer guests a deeper connection to both the forest surroundings and the Disney stories that celebrate them.
