Walt Disney World is once again adjusting the entertainment schedule at Magic Kingdom, with the Disney Adventure Friends Cavalcade set to shift back to morning performances in April 2026. This change reverses a recent move that had pushed the popular mini-parade into early evening time slots.
From morning staple to evening feature—and back again
The Disney Adventure Friends Cavalcade has traditionally been a late-morning offering, typically appearing twice daily at around 10:30am and 11:45am.
However, in mid-March 2026, Disney altered the schedule, moving performances to later in the day to around 5:10pm and 6:25pm. This change aligned the cavalcade more closely with the park’s evening entertainment lineup.
Now, beginning in April 2026, those evening slots are being removed in favour of a return to morning showtimes, restoring the cavalcade’s original role as an early-day entertainment option.
Why the change matters
This schedule shift reflects how Disney continuously balances crowd flow and entertainment distribution throughout the day. Morning cavalcades help spread guests across the park earlier, while evening offerings typically complement nighttime spectaculars.
The temporary move to evening performances may have been designed to support the broader parade schedule, particularly with adjustments to the Festival of Fantasy Parade and other entertainment offerings during the spring period.
Returning the cavalcade to mornings suggests Disney is refining that balance again, likely based on guest patterns and operational needs.
About the cavalcade
The Disney Adventure Friends Cavalcade debuted in February 2022 and quickly became one of Magic Kingdom’s most character-packed experiences.
It features a wide range of Disney and Pixar characters, including favourites from films like Encanto, Coco, Moana, and The Incredibles, all travelling along the parade route from Frontierland to Main Street, U.S.A.
Unlike full parades, cavalcades are shorter and more flexible, allowing Disney to adjust performance times more easily, something clearly demonstrated by these recent schedule changes.
What guests should expect
From April onwards, visitors can once again expect to catch the Disney Adventure Friends Cavalcade earlier in the day, making it easier to incorporate into morning touring plans. As always, exact showtimes may vary, and guests are encouraged to check the My Disney Experience app or daily schedules for the most accurate information.
