Universal Orlando Resort has announced the return of its popular after-hours event, Volcano Bay Nights, bringing a unique nighttime water park experience back to Universal’s Volcano Bay. The limited-capacity event will take place on select evenings between 3rd May and 21st August 2026, giving guests the opportunity to enjoy the park in a completely different atmosphere once the sun goes down.
Volcano Bay Nights transforms the tropical water park into an evening island celebration. Guests can experience many of the park’s most popular attractions with reduced wait times, while special entertainment, exclusive food offerings, and complimentary treats add to the festive environment.
The event officially begins at 7:00 pm, but ticket holders can enter the park as early as 4:00 pm to enjoy Volcano Bay during regular hours before the nighttime festivities start.
Throughout the night, visitors can ride fan-favourite attractions such as the Krakatau Aqua Coaster, Ko’okiri Body Plunge, and TeAwa the Fearless River. Lower attendance levels compared with normal park days help create a more relaxed experience, allowing guests to enjoy the park’s signature rides without the usual crowds.
Entertainment is also a major part of the event. A lively Beach Bash at Waturi Beach features a live DJ, while guests can meet characters from DreamWorks Animation franchises including Shrek and Madagascar. The party-style atmosphere is designed to give visitors a fun summer night experience that blends music, water attractions, and themed entertainment.
Guests attending Volcano Bay Nights will also receive complimentary snacks such as Blue Raspberry Churro Bites and Garlic Parmesan-flavoured popcorn. In addition, a Volcano Bay Freestyle souvenir cup is included, allowing access to more than 100 Coca-Cola beverage options throughout the event. Specialty food and drinks will also be available for purchase at select locations across the park.
The 2026 event will take place on the following dates:
May: 3rd, 10th, 17th, 22nd, 31st
June: 5th, 12th, 18th, 25th
July: 10th, 17th
August: 7th, 14th, 21st
Tickets are priced at $99 plus tax per person and include parking for the event. Universal Orlando Annual and Seasonal Passholders can receive a 10% discount with valid identification. Guests looking for a more private experience can also reserve cabanas, which start at $199.99 plus tax and are available on a first-come, first-served basis on the day of the event.
By offering nighttime ride access, entertainment, and exclusive treats, Volcano Bay Nights provides a different way to experience Universal’s water theme park. With warm summer evenings, glowing attractions, and a festive beach-party atmosphere, the event continues to be one of the resort’s most distinctive seasonal offerings.
