Disney Experiences Leadership Shakeup!

Disney has announced a major leadership reshuffle within its parks and experiences division, signalling the next phase of the company’s long-term growth strategy as executive changes ripple across the organisation.

The most significant shift sees Thomas Mazloum promoted to Chairman of Disney Experiences, succeeding Josh D’Amaro. D’Amaro is preparing to move into the top role at The Walt Disney Company as chief executive officer, with the transition scheduled for 18th March 2026.

Disney Experiences is the company’s largest operating division, responsible for theme parks, cruise lines, resort hotels, consumer products and Walt Disney Imagineering. The segment has become a crucial financial engine for the company, generating tens of billions in revenue annually and employing hundreds of thousands of cast members worldwide.

Mazloum brings extensive operational experience to the role. Prior to the promotion, he served as President of Disneyland Resort, overseeing Disneyland Park, Disney California Adventure, three hotels and the Downtown Disney District. During that time he also guided the resort through its 70th anniversary celebrations.

His Disney career spans nearly three decades. Mazloum originally joined the company in 1998 with Disney Cruise Line before leaving to become chief operating officer at Crystal Cruises. He returned to Disney in 2017 as a senior vice president at Walt Disney World Resort and later led Disney Signature Experiences, where he helped develop plans to expand the Disney Cruise Line fleet.

In announcing the promotion, D’Amaro praised Mazloum’s leadership and connection to Disney’s culture of guest service. He said Mazloum’s experience and understanding of the company’s creative storytelling made him “the right leader to guide Disney Experiences into its next chapter.”

Mazloum’s move to the top of the division triggers several additional leadership changes across Disney Experiences.

Jill Estorino has been named President of Disneyland Resort, replacing Mazloum. Estorino previously served as President of Disney Parks International and brings more than three decades of experience with the company. Her career includes roles in global marketing, sales and the development of international Disney destinations.

Other leadership adjustments include Tasia Filippatos becoming President of Disney Parks International and Lisa Baldzicki taking over as President of Disney Consumer Products. Both roles will report directly to Mazloum as part of the division’s new leadership structure.

The changes come at a time of major investment and expansion for Disney’s parks and experiences business. The company has previously announced plans to invest roughly $60 billion over the next decade to expand attractions, lands and experiences across its global resorts.

With D’Amaro moving into the CEO position and Mazloum stepping in to lead the parks division, Disney’s leadership transition is now firmly underway. The new executive team will be responsible for guiding the company’s global experiences portfolio through its next era of growth, innovation and expansion.
