Jurassic Park River Adventure Closed for 11-month refurbishment

Jurassic Park River Adventure has officially closed at Islands of Adventure for an 11th month refurbishment.

Universal has confirmed this planned maintenance and will be closed until 19th November 2026. Please bear in mind that these dates may change.

As of 6th January 2026, the walls were up by early morning at Islands of Adventure with only the entrance blocked off. The splashdown area was still viewable and showed the splashdown area which is now drained.

It’s not expected that the attraction will receive the Jurassic World overhaul that Universal Hollywood did in 2018.
